Palos Verdes Swim In-Home Swim Lessons with Ky
Ky has been teaching swim lessons for over 9 years. The areas she covers are Palos Verdes, Roling Hills, Torrance, Redondo Beach, Lomita, and Harbor City in the South Bay of Los Angeles. She started giving lessons at the age of 16 in the Bay Area at the local community pool. Since then she has worked with many swim schools. She was a varsity swimmer in high school and also swam competitively in college.
Red Cross Certifiactions:
- CPR for infants, children, and adults.
- First Aid
- Lifeguard Certified
- In Lieu of Red Cross WSI training Ky was trained at the famous Lenny Krazleberg swim school; (training which is longer and more intense than the Red Cross WSI; 40 hours of intense water safety training; hence at Lenny's school the instructors are not required to get the WSI as their training goes even further in preparing an instructor to teach water safety.)
As a swim instructor, Ky has worked with many different methods of swimming, and because of this can adapt to any situation or child who she teaches. She has worked at four swim schools, including Lenny Krazelberg's swim academy, where she was trained in water safety for all ages, and in the "smart fish method", a newly developed technique which teaches infants and young toddlers how to survive an accidental fall into a pool by turning to float and then making it to the side of the pool.
While at the swim schools over the last nine years she specialized in helping children who have a phobia of the water, showing them how fun and exciting learning to swim can be. She has taught hundreds of infants and children water safety and more advanced swim skills during this time. She is the most experienced person in the network.
She has also been trained in survival first swimming techniques and is a strong believer in survival training. She has even been trained by olympic swimmers.
Ky is definitley a great choice if you want to make your child comfortable in the water and want them to learn great skills as well.
