Allyson lives in Redondo Beach and wil travel to the cities of Manhattan Beach, Torrance, Lomita, Carson, Palos Verdes, and Rolling Hills for in home swim lessons. She is a 25 year old avid water woman who with over a decade of personal water experience. She is a private swim instructor that swam and played waterpolo competitively for over 6 years. Currently she surfs, swims with a local masters team and paddles competitively with Lanakila Outrigger Canoe Club.

Trained by Los Angeles County as a swim instructor and lifeguard in 2003 she has taught hundreds of children how to swim. Working for Los Angeles County’s Department of Parks and Recreation she taught, managed a pool and as the assistant coach of the Alondra Swap Thangs her swimmers walked away from many meets decorated with awards.

Along with coaching she has taught private swim lessons and mommy and me classes for families with children as young as one year of age. She personally believes it is never to young to introduce a child to the water. She has years of experience as a competitive swimmer and has taught many children proper swim technique in all 4 of the competitive strokes. She has even prepared children to take the Junior Lifeguard test!

She is a certified American Red Cross instructor for the Professional Rescuer including CPR/AED for infants, children & adults as well as Emergency Response and First Aid. (6 years)

She currently holds a Special Education Credential and works as a Special Educator in a local school district.

Whether she is teaching in the pool or classroom she believes making a child’s learning experience as fun as possible through games & music. As an avid water woman she values swimming and believes all children and adults should be waterwise!
